COMPOS MENTIS Signs With STRANGE EARS

May 4, 2009

Danish melodic death metallers COMPOS MENTIS have inked a deal with Strange Ears for the release of their third album, "Our Kingdom of Decay". Due on June 22, the CD's lyrical concept is based on "various shady sides of Denmark's history, e.g. the disfiguration of The Little Mermaid, an insane king, the mass murderer Dagmar Overbye and a strong predilection for lobotomies." According to the label, "Our Kingdom of Decay" is "by far the strongest album from COMPOS MENTIS, with its way more aggressive character than the previous releases.

Commented lead singer Jesper Heinsvig: "It will be exciting to collaborate with a label that represents such varied music and has such a good grasp of the Danish market and the Danish underground. We are convinced that we have created a really cool album with a wide appeal so we are looking very much forward to the response and to present the new material in the live situation!"

COMPOS MENTIS' second album, "Gehennesis", was released in March 2007 via Mighty Music.
